AI disclosure
How craftebook uses AI, what stores ask you to declare, and what we cannot promise.

How the book is made
Chapters are generated by an AI model in response to the description and outline you approve. Generated text can resemble existing language or contain errors, so you must review, fact-check, and edit it before publishing.
What Amazon KDP asks
At the time of writing, KDP requires publishers to disclose AI-generated text, images, or translations when uploading or republishing a title. KDP distinguishes that from AI-assisted content, which does not require disclosure. A book drafted by craftebook is AI-generated content in KDP's terms, even if you subsequently edit it substantially.
KDP's guidance says this declaration is not displayed to customers and does not affect royalty rates. We are describing their policy, not making a promise on their behalf.
What we cannot promise
We do not control any store's policy, and those policies change. We are not affiliated with Amazon, Apple, Etsy, Gumroad, or Payhip. Before you publish, read the current content guidelines for the store you are publishing to. If a store changes its stance on AI-assisted work, that is a risk you carry, and we would rather say so up front.
This is not legal advice.
