Craftebook grants commercial-use rights to its output, but copyright protection can depend on your jurisdiction and the amount of human authorship. Your review and creative contribution matter.
Clear answers
Know what happens before you start
No hidden publishing service and no automatic-income promise.
Will the book still sound like me?
Booker follows the idea and structure you approve, but generated prose still needs your judgment. Add personal stories, correct assumptions, and revise the DOCX wherever your natural language is stronger.
Is this a replacement for an editor?
No. Craftebook helps plan, draft, format, and package the manuscript. For a high-stakes commercial release, a qualified human editor and proofreader can still add substantial value.
Do I automatically own copyright in an AI-generated book?
Craftebook gives you commercial-use rights to the output, but copyright law varies and may require meaningful human authorship. Prompts alone may not be enough in some jurisdictions.
What is free?
Creating an account includes 50 credits and does not require a card. Before generation, Craftebook shows the credit cost. Generating uses credits; downloading unlocks after any verified purchase.
What happens if I close the page?
Completed choices, chapters, covers, and saved projects are kept in your account library. If a generation is interrupted, you can return without losing content that was already saved.
Can I buy extra credits?
Yes, once you have a plan. One-time credit top-ups are available inside your account and are designed to refill a plan between renewals, so they require having bought a plan first. Credits you buy do not expire when a plan ends.
Does using Craftebook mean the book is not really mine?
You choose the idea, the title, the outline and every revision, and you own the output with commercial-use rights. Stores treat this as a disclosure question rather than a permission one: KDP currently accepts AI-generated content subject to its content and quality rules, and asks that AI-generated text, images, or translations be disclosed at upload. Policies change, so check the source before publishing. Read KDP’s content guidelines.
Why not just use ChatGPT or Claude directly?
You can, and for drafting text it costs less. What you do not get is the rest of the job: a title and chapter plan settled before any prose is written, a 6x9 interior that paginates, a valid EPUB, a DOCX that opens in Word without a repair prompt, a copyright page, a cover, and listing copy inside each store's field limits. Craftebook is the production line around the writing, not a better writer.
If my publishing account is closed, do I lose the book?
No. Every book you finish downloads as PDF, EPUB and DOCX, and those files are yours to keep, edit and publish anywhere. Craftebook is not a storefront and takes no cut of your sales, so nothing you make here depends on our account or a marketplace account staying open.
What is the refund policy?
All sales are final. We do not offer voluntary refunds. Mandatory consumer rights and reversals for duplicate, unauthorized, or processing-error charges are unaffected. Cancelling stops future renewals and does not refund the current billing period. Contact support@craftebook.com if a charge is duplicated, unauthorized, or incorrect.
